As the name suggests wooden picnic tables are specially modified tables that have benches attached to them, to serve as a dining table for outdoor eating specifically when picnicking. Being in plentiful quantity and relatively cheaper, pine tables find more takers. However, even cedar is increasingly being used because it provides the properties of pine and has a great smell.

Care

Although wooden picnic tables are great to have, there are a few areas where care has to be taken so that they last longer. Firstly there is a need to look for splinters and chipped off corners. Secondly weather conditioning of the table is needed. For both these areas, the table can be coated with water sealant. This sealant will protect the table from the damage that is caused due to certain weather conditions like snow or rain. One must also check for the nails and screws as these should be fastened securely to avoid any injuries.
